by The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (9-8, 5-4 in ACCAC) earned another big win in ACCAC Division II conference play on Saturday at Chandler-Gilbert Community College (10-7, 4-5).
- The Aztecs downed the No. 14 ranked Coyotes 71-68 to take over first place in the Division II standings. It was the Aztecs fourth straight win over an ACCAC Division II team; third straight win overall.
- The Aztecs trailed 35-34 at halftime but took a 59-53 lead after the third quarter. The Aztecs outscored the Coyotes 25-18 in the quarter.
- Sophomore Jacqulynn Nakai (Navajo) scored a team-high 18 points with seven assists. Fellow sophomore RyLeigh Long netted 17 points.
- Sophomore Shauna Bribiescas (Navajo) and freshman Hallie Lawson each had double-doubles in points and rebounds. Bribiescas finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds while Lawson contributed with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
