TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (seminoles.com) — Senior M.J. Walker scored 18 points to lead No. 11 Florida State to a 93-64 victory over Boston College in his last home game as a Seminole at the Donald L. Tucker Center. Walker, RayQuan Evans (Crow Tribe), Travis Light, Justin Lindner, Harrison Prieto and Will Miles were all honored tonight for Senior Night, playing in the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center for the last time in their careers as the Seminoles finished undefeated at home in ACC play for the second consecutive year.
The Seminoles are now 15-4 overall (11-3 in the ACC) and Boston College is 4-14 overall (2-10 in the ACC). This win also marks Florida State’s 11th double-digit victory of the season.
Florida State now has 25 straight ACC home wins, only win from tying the ACC record. The Seminoles are 77-4 (.951) in their last 81 home games, dating back to the 2015-16 season.
Walker was six of nine from beyond the arc, tying his career high of six triples in a single game. He is now the 10th player in school history with 450 or more career 3-point field goals attempted and only needs five more triples to become the ninth player in school history with 175 or more career 3-point field goals made.
Evans contributed six points, two blocked shots and two steals in his last home game for the Seminoles. He shot 2-of-2 from the line and is shooting .867 from the line in the last four games (13 of 15).
Prieto blocked a career-high two shots and launched a perfect 3-point shot with nine seconds left in the game. Lindner contributed four points and one steal. Miles had two points and Light pulled down a rebound for the Seminoles.
Redshirt junior RaiQuan Gray scored in double figures for the 11th consecutive game with 16 points. Gray was a perfect seven of seven shooting, including one shot from beyond the arc early in the second half.
Redshirt junior Anthony Polite also scored in double figures for the eighth time this season with 13 points while leading the team with six rebounds. With one shot from beyond the arc tonight, Polite has made at least one 3-point field goal in each of the 15 games he has played in this season. Polite also had a team-high of four steals in contributing to the Seminoles’ nine steal total.
Freshman Scottie Barnes led the team with seven assists and totaled seven points for the Seminoles.
The Seminoles shot .556 percent from the field (35 of 63) and .481 percent from the 3-point line (13 of 27). Florida State held Boston College to .367 percent shooting from the field (22 of 60) and .387 percent shooting from the 3-point line (12 of 31).
With 78 bench points against the Eagles, Florida State held a lead for 37:16 of the game. The Seminoles’ bench outscored the Eagles’ bench 78-15.
