by CLAREMORE, Okla. – No. 1 Rogers State softball’s Sara Llamas-Howell was named the Co-Pitcher a the league announced on Monday.
Sara Llamas-Howell began her Hillcat career strong as she earned three wins in three starts with two shutouts and a complete game, totaling 13 strikeouts in 16.0 innings to open the 2023 season. In the 6-0 win in the season opener against Cameron, the Pawnee, Okla. native threw 5.0 shutout innings, only allowing one hit and one walk with five strikeouts. In the 9-2 win over Harding, she pitched 4.0 innings with one run, five hits and two strikeouts. To end the week, Llamas-Howell earned the complete game shutout against Drury in a 3-0 win, allowing four hits and one walk with six strikeouts in 7.0 innings pitched.
