Amarillo, TX – The Western New Mexico University Women’s Golf team finished the West Texas A&M Fall Invitational in 8th place. WNMU shot 312-310 for the invitational.
Shandiin Harper (Farmington, NM/Piedra Vista HS) had a great second round shooting 73 for the day. She would end the invitational (+10) and T25, carding 79-73-152. Valerie Enriquez was a stroke behind in the invitational, placing her T32. She shot 75-78-153 and was (+11).
Amanda Portillo (El Paso, TX/Eastwood HS) had a pair of 79’s, where she would finish 41st. Taysea Powell (Artesia, NM/Artesia HS) was (+18), shooting 79-81-160, tying her in 45th. Chelsea Medina (Silver City, NM/Silver HS) found herself a stroke behind Powell (+19), going 81-80-161 and placing her T47. Playing as an individual Mia Trousdale (El Paso, TX/Eastwood HS) had a bounce back day after shooting 90 in day one. Trousdale would card a 74 on the day, bumping her up to T54.
