NASSAU, Bah. – Oklahoma State’s women’s basketball team came up short against No. 15 Ohio State, 75-57, in its second and final game in The Bahamas Wednesday night.
The Cowgirls drop to 2-3 on the young season and will return home to host Missouri State on Sunday at 2 p.m. looking to snap a three-game losing streak.
Freshman Stailee Heard led OSU with 15 points, her fourth time scoring 15 or more in her first five collegiate games. Quincy Noble finished with 12 points and Chandler Prater posted her first double-double as a Cowgirl, pairing 10 points with 11 rebounds.
The Buckeyes opened the game on an 18-2 run, with Heard being responsible for the only Cowgirl points in that stretch. Prater would add six points and Noble buried a three as OSU closed the gap to 24-13 to close the first quarter.
