BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Marshall women’s golf team concluded action at the UAB Spring Invitational on Tuesday after the event was shortened to 36 holes due to forecasted weather. The teams were scheduled to finish round two and play round three on Tuesday before the event was shortened.
The Thundering Herd finished in eighth place.
Senior Kerri Parks jumped from a tie for seventh to finishing in a tie for third at the conclusion of play with a score of 4-over for the invitational. She finished round two with a 1-over 73, birding three holes during the round on holes one, five and 11.
Fellow senior Stormy Randazzo (Mvskoke/Seminole) jumped up the leaderboard on the final day jumping 14 positions from a tie for 24th to a tie for 10th with a final score of 8-over par. Randazzo also birdied three holes during on during the final 18 on No. 4, 13 and 16 for a round two score of 2-over par 74.
UAB won its home event by three strokes over Xavier. Tia Teinketo of UAB won the event at 4-under par.
