ATLANTA – Sydney Little Light won the Atlantic Sun Conference Women’s Track Performer of the Week award, the conference announced on Wednesday, marking the first time she won the award during the outdoor season.
Little Light won the 1,500 meters at the Tennessee Invite, posting a time of 4:23.17. Her 1,500-meter time ranks No. 2 in the ASUN and No. 46 in the East Region. She also recorded a personal-best 800-meter time of 2:09.47 to finish third. Her 800-meter time ranks No. 6 in the ASUN. The graduate student finished ahead of runners from Tennessee and Austin Peay in both events.
The Crow Agency, Mont. native leads the Colonels in the 1,500 meters, as EKU ranks No. 36 in the latest USTFCCCA #EventSquad rankings for the 1,500 meters.
