University of Wisconsin- Green Bay Guard Tesha Buck (Mdewakanton Sioux) has been named Preseason Second-Team All-Horizon League by College Sports Madness in the website’s conference preview.
Buck, a four time conference freshman of the week honoree, started all 28 games for the Phoenix last season to become the first true freshman to start since Sarah Eichler during the 2009-10 season. Averaging 10.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.8 steals, Buck led the team in both assists and steals per game, and was the top freshman in the conference in each category but rebounding.
Buck was joined on the second team by Cleveland State’s Cori Coleman, Oakland’s Elena Popkey, Detroit’s Taylor McCalister and Valparaiso’s Sharon Karungi to its preseason second team.
