The MSU-Northern Skylights lost to Montana Western 58-75 on Saturday in Havre, Montana. The Skylights started out strong scoring 10-3 in the first five minutes. The Bulldogs went on a 12-0 run to end the first half (18-12). Montana Western extended the lead going into half time 39-21. Northern just couldn’t cut the lead in the second half.
Individual Stats:
The Skylights were led by Tiara Gilham (Blackfeet), who had 19 points going 7-13 from the field. McKenzie Gunter had 10 point. L’Tia Lawrence (Assiniboine/Sioux) added 10 points.
The Bulldogs were led by Paige Holmes with 14 points going 5-6 from field and led the team in rebounds with seven. Sydney Sheridan added 13 points. Jenni Weber added 12 points going 5-7 from the field.
Stats of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Skylights shot a field goal percentage of 38, 27 percent from the arc, and 78 percent from the free throw line.
Montana Western shot 49 percentage from the field, 40 percent from the 3-point line, and 76 percent from the free throw.

The Skylights are 4-12 in the overall season and 3-9 in the Frontier Conference.
