Tommia Pakootas (Coeur d’Alene Tribe)put on a long range shooting clinic on Wednesday February 19th.
The Lower Columbia freshman guard went 6 for 6 from beyond the arc and finished with a game-high 20 points in the Red Devils 95-27 victory over Green River at Myklebust Gym.
Pakootas led a Red Devil team that shot 47 percent from the floor and 43 percent from three-point range. “I missed a lay-in and I’m not too happy about that”, she said after the game. The Plummer, Idaho product was 7 for 8 from the floor. Pakootas is third in the entire NWAC in three-point shooting at 44.4 percent.
Bailey Farrer had a solid game with 15 points, three rebounds and three steals. The Red Devil defense pressured the Gators into 27 turnovers.
The only Red Devil not to score was Michaela Harris but she did plenty. Harris had five rebounds, seven assists and three steals.
Madeline Jacobson had 12 points and seven rebounds. Jodi Noyes was one free throw away from a double-double as she recorded nine points with 10 rebounds.
Ally Harman was building snowmen with eight (8) points and eight (8) rebounds.
The Gators shot just 18 percent from the floor and 4.5 percent (1-22) from three point land.
The Devils are now 10-2 in the West and 19-8 overall
